A new season is beginning ...

I'm learning that it's so true when the Bible says, "there is a season for everything." The past few weeks have been one season coming to a close and another starting (of course summer to fall just happened, but I'm referring to the season of my heart). My husband and I have decided to step away from our church home, the church we grew up in - and it was very difficult. However, I do believe, that today God confirmed to me that we made the right choice. In faith we stepped into a new church today - BridgePoint Nazarene - and praise the Lord we did. The people are warm and welcoming, the Spirit is alive and working, the pastor is on fire! We could not have asked for a better place.

I must say the hardest part of leaving our church was the ministry that we had with the teenagers. Over the past few years I've spent many hours praying for them and over them, they have shared with us their hearts - the depths of the hearts -, we have laughed and cried, been angry and joyful, but the Lord has been the center of it all. Today at BridgePoint when the service was over the teens of the church walked up, shook our hands with smiles, and my heart just melt. I can't wait to get to know them and their hearts and how the Lord is working in their lives.

As hard as it was for us to leave our church, I know that the Lord is going to use us wherever we may be. I'm so excited for this "new" start in our lives and am excited at the work the Lord is going to do in us and through us.
